Leandro “Leo” Hubbard
The man killed in Sunday’s drive-by shooting in Potters Village has been identified as 29-year-old Leyandrew Hubbard.
Hubbard lost his life after gunmen opened fire on a road opposite the Potters Primary School at approximately 10:45 a.m. An 18-year-old man who was with him sustained serious gunshot injuries and was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre by Emergency Medical Services. He remains in critical condition.
The brazen daylight attack has left residents shaken, with several neighbours reporting hearing multiple gunshots before rushing outside to see what had happened.

Police have since cordoned off the area and launched a homicide investigation. Detectives and forensic officers spent several hours processing the crime scene and collecting evidence.
Investigators have not yet disclosed a motive for the killing or identified any suspects. They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has information that could assist the investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914.
The investigation into the Potters shooting remains ongoing, and additional updates are expected as police continue their inquiries.

There seems to be a teen gang on gang war. It takes a collective effort to investigate these crimes.
Police don’t do like they used to do when they put a few officers to lock into a few key neighborhoods so when these things happen their detectives might actually have a first hand clue as to why it might’ve happened???
My condolences to the family of Leandro Hubbard, and I pray the injured teen makes a full recovery. This tragedy is a reminder of the need to address violent crime.
