Police are appealing to the public for information as investigations continue into Sunday’s shooting at the Yida Special Economic Zone on the Crabbs Peninsula.
The incident left 59-year-old businessman Zhang Yida nursing two gunshot wounds to his upper body.
According to police, the shooting was reported at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 9. Officers from the Parham Police Station and other departments responded and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Zhang was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he received treatment. He remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information that could assist investigators to come forward.
