A resident is calling on the Ministry of Public Works to address loose gravel along Newgate Street after she reportedly fell and suffered several injuries while walking in the area over the weekend.
The woman said the incident occurred on Saturday near Shoul’s Toys and Gifts, where she claims loose gravel on the roadway has created a dangerous situation for pedestrians.

She said she was walking along the street when she fell, bruising both knees and one of her hands. Her hand was also punctured, while she sustained an injury to her face just below one of her eyes.
The resident said her face became badly swollen following the fall and she has since experienced pain throughout her body as well as bouts of dizziness.
She shared photographs showing some of the injuries and said the swelling to her face had already gone down somewhat by the time the images were taken.

The resident is now appealing to Public Works to have the area addressed as soon as possible, warning that someone else could also be injured.
“Y’all need to do something about those loose gravel Public Works.” she said.
Her complaint has renewed concerns about pedestrian safety along the affected section of Newgate Street and the need for loose material left on or near roadways to be properly cleared.

Public Works really needs to look into this. A simple fall can cause lifelong injuries, especially for an elderly person. Please clean up the area before somebody else gets hurt.
Public works has just being putting th whole country roads in chaos damaging both people and their vehicles this is so dam unbearable right now its like they also have inexperienced engineers doing the roads with no knowledge of what they’re doing smdh
Whether you blame Public Works or not, now that the danger has been brought to their attention, just go and fix it. Prevention is better than waiting for another person to fall.
This Country And It’s Leaders Are Just Worthless!!!
The Whole Country Is Sickening!!!
