Several communities across Antigua are without electricity following an unplanned outage affecting the Belmont #2 feeder.

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Electricity Business Unit said technicians have been dispatched to address the issue and are working to restore power as quickly as possible.

The outage is affecting All Saints Road east of the substation, Bellview, Bayview, Herberts, Clarkes Hill, Renfrew, St. Clair Estate, Freemans Village, Potters, Sea View Farm, Lightfoot, Ferris Farm, Buckley Line, Law Pasture and Oliver’s Estate.

APUA has not indicated what caused the problem or provided an estimated time for the restoration of electricity.

The utility company apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience and understanding as crews work to resolve the issue.
