The Antigua Public Utilities Authority has reported progress on several projects intended to improve the country’s water-distribution network.
APUA’s management told Cabinet that pipe installation works under the WIMAN programme have been completed in Buckley’s and Montrulla, Law Pasture and Newfield.
The completed works are expected to strengthen the distribution infrastructure serving those communities.
Cabinet was also informed that approximately 1,945 linear feet of pipe will be required for works being undertaken by Trinweld along St. Mary’s Street, Thames Street and High Street.
The Government said the projects form part of APUA’s wider programme to improve the reliability and resilience of essential utility services.
Cabinet commended APUA’s management for its continued work to strengthen the country’s water infrastructure.
