Police are currently conducting a search in Gray’s Farm following an armed robbery in which a well-known barber was attacked and shots were fired.

Eyewitnesses tells Antigua.news that the businessman, who is said to be of Spanish descent, was leaving his workplace when he was confronted by two young men.

The assailants reportedly robbed him of cash and personal belongings before striking him with a firearm. Several shots were also allegedly fired in his direction.

Fortunately, none of the bullets struck the victim. However, he reportedly suffered bruising after being hit with the weapon.

Police officers remain at the scene and are reportedly searching the surrounding community for the suspects.
