Prime Minister Gaston Browne is urging members of the public to come forward with information after a man was reportedly captured on surveillance footage breaking into a home in Villa in broad daylight.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, with video from the property capturing the alleged intruder during the daytime burglary.
Browne later commented on the incident in a Facebook post, calling on anyone who recognises the individual to report him to law enforcement.
“Somebody must recognize this thief. You need to report him to law enforcement,” the Prime Minister wrote.
The latest incident comes amid heightened concern over crime and security in several communities across Antigua and Barbuda.
Browne has recently called for a stronger police presence in areas including Villa, Point, Grays Farm and Green Bay, saying officers should conduct regular patrols as part of efforts to deter criminal activity.
