The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is stepping up pressure on wanted suspect Janiah Antoine, urging him to surrender as investigators continue probing the murder of 60-year-old Swetes resident Mordecai Eleazar Francis.

Antoine, of Golden Grove, remains wanted in connection with the ongoing investigation, and police are calling on him to turn himself in without further delay.

In a renewed appeal issued Monday, September 21, the police urged Antoine to report to the nearest police station and cooperate with investigators.

Authorities are also appealing to his relatives, friends and associates to use whatever influence they have to encourage him to surrender peacefully.

The police further warned that anyone who knowingly harbours or conceals a wanted fugitive, or assists that person in evading lawful arrest, could face prosecution.

Providing shelter, transportation or other support intended to help Antoine avoid capture is an offence, police said.
