Woman Killed and 13-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured in Bathlodge Triple Shooting
National Security Minister Sir Steadroy “Cutie” Benjamin says the deadly shooting in Bathlodge stemmed from an argument involving another individual whom the attackers were pursuing, but who was not inside the home when they arrived.
Speaking on state media, Benjamin said investigators are taking steps to trace a third person believed to have been involved in the attack. Police are also looking for a motorcar as part of the investigation. He did not provide a description of the vehicle.
Saquania Anthony was killed in Monday night’s shooting, while a 13-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man were wounded. Police have detained two men and are continuing their search for a third person.
Benjamin’s account provides new insight into what investigators believe led to the attack. Police have not said whether the individual the attackers were pursuing has been identified publicly or what happened during the earlier argument.
