Police have charged two more men in connection with the fatal shooting of 60-year-old Mordecai Eleazar Francis of Swetes, bringing the number of people charged in the case to three.
Natking Thomas, 18, of Cashew Hill, was charged with Francis’s murder on Thursday. Dejonte Joseph, 18, of Bathlodge, was charged with being an accessory to murder. Both are expected to appear in court on Friday, September 25.
Francis was shot and killed in Freeman’s Village on July 23, 2026. Police say their investigation is continuing and they are searching for a fourth suspect, Janiah Antoine, who remains at large.
Investigators have again urged Antoine to surrender peacefully at the nearest police station. Anyone who knows where he is, or has information that could help locate him, is asked to contact a police station or call the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).
Police thanked the public for its cooperation and assistance as the investigation continues.
