Hollywood actor Sir Idris Elba brought an added touch of star power to Antigua and Barbuda’s CHOGM celebrations, joining an impressive line-up of international and Caribbean performers for One Commonwealth Night.

The British star was among the notable personalities at the cultural showcase, where he joined Jamaican reggae sensation Tarrus Riley for an evening celebrating the music, traditions and diversity of the Commonwealth.

The event also featured performances by Ghanaian-American musician Rocky Dawuni, Falu and Jah’Mila, alongside Antiguan favourites Claudette Peters, Asher Otto, Arlen Seaton and Empress.

The programme brought together a diverse range of musical and cultural talent, with the Showcase Steel Ensemble, CHOGM Youth Orchestra, the Kanneh-Masons and Scotland’s National Piping Centre also contributing to the evening’s entertainment.

One Commonwealth Night formed part of the wider programme of activities surrounding the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, bringing together artists from across the Commonwealth and placing Caribbean culture alongside international musical traditions.

The celebration provided a lively cultural showcase for visiting delegates and guests, with local performers sharing the stage with internationally recognised names during the gathering in Antigua and Barbuda.
