Rose Osila Veneta Carty also Known as “Auntie” (State Media)

The John Hughes community is celebrating a special milestone—Rose Osila Veneta Carty, known to many as “Auntie,” has officially joined the ranks of Antigua & Barbuda’s centenarians!
Family, friends, and officials, including Governor General’s Deputy Sir Clare Roberts, gathered at Charlesworth T. Samuel Primary School to honour her.
Ms Carty, a beloved shopkeeper famous for her ginger beer and other local delights, shared her wisdom: “Have faith in God, do the right thing, and love one another.”

It’s been a long long journey my dear I suppose filled with many trials and tribulations , hurdles and obstacles. How ever it was, you overcame all and reached the major milestone in the life of a human..I tip my hat off to you and wish you much joy as you celebrate
It is always heart warming when i see people turning 100 years. These are the tables as a young man i love to sit at and listen to the good vibes. You learn so much from people like that. Hats off to you mommy.
