A villa man is said to have committed a spate of break ins and theft all around the city in the last few weeks alone.
Natakie Shervington is facing several charges, including break-ins, larceny, and malicious damage, in connection to a series of offenses starting on October 7 and continuing into mid-November.
The alleged crime spree involved breaking into Legend Hardware Store on atleast three occasions, resulting in the theft of items such as a cash register, alarms, a grass cutter, and a Weed Wacker.
More than $13,000 worth of items were either damaged or stolen.
Additional break-ins occurred at Harper’s Depot, Laivia Beach Wear, and Paradise Café, with stolen items ranging from jewellery to cash.
The Café was the last place he allegedly broke into before being arrested and charged. He was reportedly caught on camera committing this crime as well as some of the others.
Shervington, who pleaded not guilty, has been remanded by Magistrate Dexter Wason and is set to stand trial.
