Several religious leaders on the island were against the meeting that took place between Prime Minister Gaston Browne and members of the 2Drilly gang
The meeting was held last week in a bid to hear the concerns of the young men, who have been a major part of acts of violence in the country.
Browne said when his intention to meet with the gang members became public, pastors and other religious leaders came to his office to counsel him against the move
Why would they oppose the meeting? What’s their reason? Something don’t seems right here! In my opinion, giving the gang an opportunity to voice themselves is a good way of understanding what’s going on with them. Some kids grew up with no hope and tends to feel like all is lost for them hence the reason many joined gang. Being in a gang have them some sort of belonging and therefore they gave their loyalty to that gang. We do need to know what bothering them to cause such behaviors. We can’t just give up on the youth when there are ways to help improve their behavior. The PM is trying here so I think we as a nation should support positivity!!!

“Religious Leaders” nowadays has lost its true meaning.
The youths in the article photo looked like some of the older men in the picture standing next to them. Examine the faces good.
