Student Who Allegedly Took Firearm to School Expelled

A 15-year-old who allegedly brought a firearm on the compound of the Clare Hall School has been expelled.

The incident occurred on Friday, September 27, sometime after midday, when an alarm was raised after the teen was allegedly seen in possession of a firearm on school grounds.

This prompted Clare Hall School officials to immediately place the institution on lockdown for several hours, during which students were not allowed to leave the campus.

Police arrived at the scene and conducted an extensive search, but the weapon was not recovered.

The teenager was taken into custody the same day and subsequently charged with illegal firearm possession.

He is now on bail as he awaits his next court date.

While the student, who cannot be named due to his age, is barred from attending any public secondary school, Ministry of Education officials said it will help him pursue his education through alternative means.

First, let me say that I am NOT one of the bleeding hearts shedding crocodile tears on behalf of this intellectually-delayed grown-up-enough young man. You have got just what you deserve!
But, just as parents now can be held crim8nally liable for certain criminal activities of their minor children̈, it must be the parent’s sole responsibility to see about his remaining educational journey.. Taxpayers have already covered at least ten years of his educational journey. It’s not as if the parents have no choice(s). First, get him to reveal the whereabouts of the LOADED gun he confessed to taking to School. Next, enrol him in one of the private schools, if they would have him, or enrol him in one of the several after-class/after-school programs to have him finish up his secondary leg there. Tax-payers should NOT be called upon to further fund his time idling in the system. Finally, send him to find part-time employment or continue to feed, house and clothe him until he is able to provide fully himself. No sympathy deserved!
BOY, what did you do with the gun????
