Deon Lloyd, has been remanded in prison until March 26 following his initial court appearance on Monday.
The Lower Ottos resident is accused of murdering Jevon Williams, a grave charge stemming from a tragic incident on January 2 of this year, during which Lloyd allegedly shot and killed Williams, who succumbed to his injuries instantly at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were complicated, as Lloyd also sustained injuries and was hospitalized due to wounds he incurred during the altercation that escalated into the shooting.
During his court appearance, he presented before Senior Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel with his right hand in a cast, a visible testament to the violence of that fateful day.
Lloyd is currently being represented by attorney Wendel Alexander as he navigates the legal proceedings ahead.

Being or not being a licensed firearms holder in not the grounds that constitute self defense. The police now have to add or don’t add the additional charges.
Real man fight with their fists not with guns and knives. Times have really changed. Back in the days I enjoyed watching these fist fights among the peers in the community. The older folks used to throw water on them to behave themselves. I wish fist fight was one tradition we had brought into the twenty first century.
