Kiz Johnson, the independent senator appointed by Governor General Sir Rodney Williams was officially sworn in last week Friday. She is the 7^th woman sworn into the Upper House of Parliament.

Senator Johnson is the current group marketing manager at Anjo Insurances & Anjo Wholesale. She also has an extensive background in business marketing, digital branding and management, boasting Masters’s degrees in both Digital Marketing and Business Administration.

Senator Johnson succeeds the previous Governor General’s representative, Senator Bakesha Francis-James who served since the 2018 general elections.
