EU Outdoor Learning Spaces Project launched

Prime Minister. Gaston Browne was on hand on Thursday for the launch of the European Union Active Learning Program Outdoor Learning Spaces Project.

The Villa and Liberta Primary Schools were selected as the recipients of three park-style benches, two bins, and signage for the schools as part of the programme.

Prime Minister Browne matched the contribution of the EU increasing the number of benches and bins for the Villa Primary School.

In conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, Prime Minister Browne planted a fruit tree on the school compound.

This is designed to bring awareness of the importance of trees to the environment and well-being while adding to the delivery of quality education in schools.

Participating in the activity for the European Union were Florain Luetticken, Team Leader, Governance, Security and Human Development and Dr. Stephen L. Boyce – Programme Manager for Education and Ambassador Dr. Clarence Henry from the EU Office in Antigua and Barbuda.
