A man is now facing charges after he stabbed his girlfriend in St Johns earlier today

The woman is currently a patient at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center

According to reports, the stabbing stemmed from a domestic dispute with her male partner

They got into an altercation in the vicinity of Corn Alley after she reportedly asked him about some cash

The man then stabbed her during the dispute.

The Emergency Medical Services was called to the scene and transported the woman to the hospital

She is said to be in a stable condition. The incident happened a little after 11 am
