Ian Hughes has been officially sworn in as the country’s newest Supervisor of Elections, filling a vacancy left by the retirement of Dame Lorna Simon.
He will now take up the task of managing the upcoming by-election.
He has worked with the electoral commission for over 20 years, starting from the mail room.
Hughes says he thinks his experience, knowledge, hard work, and integrity make him suitable for the position
He was sworn in by family, friends, and loved ones.
