SLBMC Suspends All Outpatient Clinics Today

3 October 2023 - 08:07

Due to inclement weather conditions, the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC) has temporarily suspended several outpatient clinic services on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

The services that have been suspended include Oncology, Dialysis, and Rehabilitation. In addition, Laboratory testing services and Radiology have also been halted.

All elective surgeries scheduled for Tuesday, October 3, 2023, have been postponed. However, emergency in-patient Radiology and Laboratory services will continue to operate as usual.

The SLBMC team advises those in need of medical attention not to risk driving on the roadways, but instead call the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at 911.

The Emergency Room will remain open for patients requiring immediate care.
