PM Urges St Mary’s South Residents to Vote ABLP Candidate in Upcoming By-Election
Gaston Browne, the leader of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, has used a social media post to address St Mary’s South residents, urging them to vote for Dwayne George of the ABLP in the upcoming by-elections on October 24th.
Browne addressed the residents as distinguished and praised George’s entry into electoral politics, stating that it has been a blessing for the people of St Mary’s South.
He also mentioned that George’s advocacy for the people of St Mary’s South at weekly Cabinet meetings has already yielded many positive results, even before he was elected as their representative.
The Prime Minister explained that since the ABLP is already in power, George is the best candidate to deliver the services and opportunities that St Mary’s South residents desire.
Browne emphasized that a victory for Dwayne George is a victory for St Mary’s South.
In addition, Browne claimed that Dwayne George, like Cortwright Marshall, was a victim of political machinations within the UPP.
He accused “Shuggy” of being the real traitor who played Cortwright Marshall to become the UPP candidate. Browne claimed that “what Shuggy is facing now is karma; his Waterloo – defeat by Dwayne George”.
He also stated that George’s victory would be a victory for St Mary’s South and justice for Cortwright Marshall, who Shuggy falsely claimed was dying of cancer prior to the 2023 general elections.
