Flash Flood Watch in Effect for Antigua and Barbuda
The Antigua and Barbuda MET Office has issued a flash flood watch for areas prone to flooding, including Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, and the British Virgin Islands.
The flash flood watch will be in effect until 5 p.m this evening. This means the watch area may experience moderate to significant flooding, but it is not imminent now.
The MET office has warned that flash flooding is a hazardous situation that could be upgraded to an advisory or warning at short notice if heavy rainfall persists.
If you live in low-lying or flood-prone areas, it is advisable to prepare for flooding in order to safeguard your life and property.
You should be ready to move to higher ground if flooding rains develop or if a flash flood warning is issued.
