The tragic drowning of a  toddler at Briggins is under investigation by the police in Antigua and Barbuda

The incident occurred on a Sunday morning, April 28, when the family of 3-year-old Zyonandon Collin Hope discovered him floating face down in a swimming pool, after 8 am.

The Emergency Medical Services were immediately called and they rushed to the scene, providing CPR to the young child before taking him to Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of the doctors to resuscitate him, Zyonandon passed away at 8:37 am.

Zyonandon and his mother had only arrived in the country two weeks prior from the United States to spend time with family.

The tragedy has left the police administration deeply saddened, and they extend their condolences to the family during this difficult time.
