In the early hours of the morning, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Antigua and Barbuda causing tremors that were felt across the region.
The UWI Seismic Research Center reported that the earthquake originated at a depth of 36 km and was also experienced in Montserrat and St Kitts and Nevis.
Numerous residents reported feeling the ground shaking during the event.
