An inquiry is set to take place next week at Straffies Funeral Home to look into the unexpected death of Yenifer Bridge, a 16-year-old. Police say she was possibly abducted, raped and then murdered.

A Magistrate, acting as a coroner, along with a jury, will carefully examine the circumstances of her death, which is the standard procedure in cases of uncertain or suspicious deaths.

The main goal will be to determine the cause of her dead. If foul play or an unnatural cause is suspected, a thorough investigation will follow, possibly involving an autopsy and further inquiry similar to a trial with a jury.

Yenifer’s death has caused worry due to the circumstances surrounding it. Her body was found on the morning of June 28 by passerby along Fig Tree Drive in a wooded area.

That same morning, Yenifer’s two-year-old son was found alone on Jonas Road.

The child was later taken to All Saints Police Station and reunited with his grandmother. As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have reportedly questioned several individuals, including Yenifer’s boyfriend.
