UPP MP for St Johns Rural West Richard Lewis denied discussing negotiations to leave the United Progressive Party, but PM Browne claimed on his Facebook page Sunday that Lewis expressed his desire to three ABLP ministers to become an independent member of parliament while taking up an ambassadorial position in Jamaica.

“I confirm on this good Sunday morning that three of my ministers reported to me that the discussions above were held with Richard Lewis. I accepted Richard’s proposal with the provision that there would be no negotiations on the candidature in Rural West, because I am confident that we have a winner in Michael Joseph Browne wrote

PM Browne said that while Lewis has not directly spoken with him, “next Saturday, I will reveal the names of the Ministers you spoke with”.

“Richard, I hold no enmity towards you, but felt compelled to reiterate the truth, in light of your vehement public denial. Much love & blessings”, Browne said.

Lewis is reportedly in Jamaica on family business; however, Browne claimed that he allegedly left Antigua “to get a respite from Giselle Isaac et al. and the toxic situation in the UPP.”

  2. My dear PM, there’s nothing honorable, admirable, trustworthy and manly about throwing people under the bus when you find yourself cornered. There are many things about you worthy of admiration. However, this is NOT one of them and sooner or later will cause your inevitable fall from grace. Silence is golden and you need to learn that. You need to be more circumspect about your utterances! Not everything and every body else’s business needs to become a public discussion! Grow up!
