Having mastered rowing both the Atlantic and Pacific Seas, Island Girl Christal Clashing has set off on yet another venture making history for Antigua and Barbuda for the third time.

Clashing has submerged herself into the deep free diving competition in Nature Isle Dominica, setting the first female free-diving national record for this country.

Each dive day, athletes from around the world are asked to request the depth they wish to attempt with no oxygen tank to assist the competitors once under water.

On the dive day, the line is set at the requested depth with a Velcro tag at the bottom. The task is then to collect the tag to prove you have achieved your goal.

Clashing will compete over a 6-day period that began on July 28 through to August 4, with two days on and one day off.

The Deep Dominica Free-diving is sanctioned by CMAS, the entry-level diving certification for recreational scuba diving issued by the confederation mondiale des activités subaquatiques, one of two international organizations that govern competitive free-diving.
