7 Women and 7 Men Battle for Calypso Monarch Title Tonight
Tonight, the air will crackle with excitement as the Cavalier Rum Calypso Monarch finals kick off at 8 pm, promising a night of spectacular performances and fierce competition.
In a dazzling showcase of talent, 14 extraordinary calypsonians—seven women and seven men—will take the stage to vie for the coveted title of Calypso Monarch.
The lineup for the evening is as follows:
1. De Art – “Questions”
2. Black Mahdi – “J’ouvert Morning Jamming”
3. Stumpy – “Not Too Hard”
4. Queen Singing Althea – “Won’t Bow Down”
5. Lyricks Man – “The Letter”
6. Lady Melody – “Step Aside”
7. Ge’Eve – “One Man”
8. Kimmy – “War No More”
9. King Fiah – “Papa AG”
10. Queen Gee Bee – “Panatic”
11. Queen Thalia – “Stand Firm”
12. King Young Destroyer – “De Convention”
13. Queen Sammie C – “Bun Dem”
14. King Zacari – “Sacrificial Lamb”
The winner of the Calypso Monarch title will be awarded a grand prize of $20,000. The first runner-up will receive $14,000, and the second runner-up will earn $10,000. Additionally, all unplaced finalists will be recognized with a participation prize of $5,000 each.
