Yenifer Bridge

Despite the police having gathered statements from multiple individuals, including Yenifer Bridge’s boyfriend, no arrests have been made in connection with her death.

Bridge’s body was discovered on June 28th by bystanders along Fig Tree Drive. She was only 16 years old.

Authorities suspect that she may have been kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and subsequently murdered.

While the investigation is being treated as suspicious, the police are awaiting the post-mortem examination results.

Bridge was the mother of a two-year-old son, who was found wandering on Jonas Road while her body was located elsewhere.

The child was discovered by a police officer and taken to the All Saints Police Station before the discovery of his mother’s remains.

Authorities are still working to understand how the two-year-old ended up on Jonas Road while his mother was found in a different area.

On July 10th, a coroner’s inquest into her death began, with Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel and a jury visiting Straffies Funeral Home to examine the body, marking the initiation of standard procedures for deaths considered suspicious or of unknown cause.

The inquest seeks to establish the cause of Bridge’s death.
