Magistrate Dane Hamilton has dismissed the battery case against former parliamentarian Dean Jonas due to prosecutorial shortcomings.
Jonas, was the former MP for St. George and Minister of Social Transformation and Gender Affairs
The charges against Jonas, which arose from an incident at his Scott’s Hill home on February 23, 2023, include resisting arrest, making threatening statements, disorderly conduct, assault, and battery.
Jonas’ attorneys, Wendel Alexander and George Lake, argued for dismissal, citing that the police had refiled charges without serving him.
They also criticized the protracted delay in addressing what they considered a minor matter.
The magistrate agreed with the defense’s position ultimately dismissing all the charges.
Good for you Dean but it’s a hollow victory. This case has brought to light your personal demons and clear lack of suitability to represent a constituency at any level.
1) You have embarrassed and disgraced your decent and hard-working WIFE (and family)to whom you pledged, before God, undying love and fidelity. You are a liar, Dean. How did your baby mama get your trousers and draws off long enough to create your illegitimate (in every sense of the word) child?
2) Your lack of respect for the political party that gave you refuge at a most vulnerable point in your life when you were a staunch UPP supporter is well known and documented. You might as well return to your vomit, challenge the other impotent but popular Snake of a representative and beg forgiveness. The UPP is in dire need of new incompetents to fill the many vacancies in their ranks.
4)As a discarded, washed-up dirty rag, you have nothing of value to add to the ABLP
heading into the Next Level.

@Faithful National, if the UPP candidates are so incompetent according to you, then tell us, why is Gaston Browne keep recruiting them? Haven’t you realized that the ABLP party is outfitted with UPP candidates?
I am happy for Dean Jonas. The policeman who happened to be close with Dean Ex woman came and harass the man in his property. He should have gotten a good beating. I’m happy for Dean
