Sanjaye Kemar Morgan & Susan Stephenson

Please remember the following information about recent legal proceedings: Sanjaye Kemar Morgan, a Jamaican man who had escaped from lawful detention at the Immigration Detention Centre, appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel in the District B court in All Saints.

He pleaded guilty and has been remanded in prison until his court appearance on Wednesday. It is anticipated that he will be ordered for removal from the state due to his violation of the country’s immigration laws.

Additionally, Morgan’s mother, Susan Stephenson, who had been living in the country illegally since 2020, was ordered for immediate deportation in District A.

These legal actions are part of the Immigration Department’s efforts to enforce the country’s immigration laws and remove non-nationals who are in the country illegally, as well as individuals involved in criminal activities, especially those related to firearms.
