The House of Representatives recently approved the Firearms (Amendment) Bill 2024, which is designed to modify the existing Firearms Act Cap 271 and impose stricter penalties for violations.
It specifically addresses penalties for offenses related to possession with a license, carrying firearms or ammunition in designated public areas, sale or transfer of firearms or ammunition, possession with the intent to cause harm, manufacturing of firearms or ammunition, as well as the importation, exportation, and transshipment of firearms and ammunition.
