Gunshots were fired outside Donald Trump’s golf club as he was out playing the course (Washington Times)

It has been report that multiple gunshots have been fired outside the Trump International Golf Club, with the former president at the location whilst it was happening. It is understood that two individuals were taking shots at each other in the vicinity of the course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
It is not clear if Mr Trump had actually been on the links when the shots were fired, but Secret Service officials who quickly responded to the incident are saying that Trump himself was “never in danger”. They remarked that he was not a target and the area close to the club is known for high crime.
In a brief statement, Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung wrote that Trump “is safe following gunshots in his vicinity,” but did not offer up any further details.
The golf club is located about five miles from Mr Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach and this comes just over two months after he was shot during an assassination attempt by Thomas Matthew Crooks at a rally in Pennsylvania, injuring his ear, on July 13.
