The latest publication in the Caribbean Biography Series, Richie Richardson by Densil Williams, focuses on the life and achievements of the Antigua and Barbuda cricketing icon Sir Richie Richardson.

The book was launched with the participation of Governor General Sir Rodney Williams, who praised the collaboration between Sir Richie and Professor Williams.

The author, Prof. Williams, highlighted the importance of documenting the life and work of sports icons like Sir Richie, who played a critical role in the Caribbean.

The book’s production involved numerous interviews with Sir Richie, resulting in a wealth of material that had to be condensed to fit the word limit.

Despite this challenge, the author expressed satisfaction with the final product, describing it as an inspirational story worth reading.
The launch event also featured contributions from the current principal of UWI Five Islands, Prof. C Justin Robinson, and a tribute poem to Sir Richie penned by Education Minister Daryll Matthew.
