Just a few hours ago the Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) announced its team that will begin their quest for back-to-back titles in the 32nd annual OECS Swimming Championships in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The event will take place from November 8th- 10th at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Centre in Ratho Mill, St. Vincent with 10 teams competing.
According to the ABSF, the 34-member team was carefully selected based on their qualifying times achieved at the recently concluded 9th ABSF Invitational Championships, with four alternates also named to the roster.
In the Girls 8 & Under- Isabel Nicholas and Anna Sukumaran and in the Boys 8 & Under- Jalon Weste.
In the Girls 9 to 10- Kaylee Warner, Alyssa Watkins and Elizabeth Sukumaran while the Boys 9 to 10 will see Christopher Walter, Mkazo Lindsay and Zane Williams.
In the Girls 11 to 12- Anya DeGannes, Keziah Joseph and Alaysia Liddie and in the boys’ equivalent, Alessandro Bazzoni, Jamie Tranter, N’yriq Weste and Malique Josephs.
In the 13 to 14 Girls- Isabelle Bremner and Mila Festini-Cromer while in the 13 to 14 Boys, Espriit Shaw, Zahid Derrick and Reuben Edwards have been selected.
In the 15 to 17 Girls- 2024 Olympian Ellie Shaw, Aunjelique Liddie, Madisson MacMillan and Selah Wiltshire were chosen while in the boys’ category, Neil Noronha, Jai Sindhi and Manav Sindhi were selected.
In the 18 & Over Girls, Kimberlee Warner, Anisa Lewis and Bianca Mitchell will face off while in the boys, Stefano Mitchell, Zardad Jan, Jai Smith were chosen.
The Alternates are Vizuri Lidsay, Antoine Christian, Chase Gilead and Yacine Williams.
The team will be led by Manager Kem Warner, with Head Coach Wayne Mitchell providing overall direction.
Coach Mitchell will be supported by Assistant Coaches Elizabeth Watkins and Nelson Molina Fojo, who both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide the team toward success.
