The lawyer of a former nurse who forged several Covid-19 vaccination cards has begged the court for leniency on her behalf.
Jahmesha Millwood of Bolans recently pleaded guilty to 21 counts of forgery and one count of larceny of blank vaccination cards.
Millwood exploited a temporary disruption in the digital processing of vaccination cards to forge the documents in 2021.
Her role as a screening nurse allowed her to write on the cards, but she had no authority to certify the vaccinations themselves, a right reserved exclusively for the nurses who had administered the shots.
The suspicious timing and familiar signatures on the completed cards prompted an internal investigation that eventually involved the police and a handwriting expert.
Her attorney Lawrence Daniels pleaded with the court yesterday to impose a fine arguing that the former nurse is “deeply sorry, embarrassed and remorseful.”
Justice Tunde Bakre will consider all factors including the attorneys sentence mitigation and deliver his decision on November 13.
This lady is a Saint. All charges should be dropped. The vaccine was and is still useless. Covid 19 cannot be prevented by those vaccines so she did those people a favor.
I came here to say the same thing. Just give her a $500 fine and be done with it.
