27 YEAR OLD SUSPECT CONFESSES TO KILLING MP ASOT MICHAEL

9 November 2024 - 10:29

Police are finalizing preparations to charge a 27 year old Golden Grove resident, who has reportedly confessed to killing Member of Parliament for St Peter, Asot Michael. Antigua News has learned that the man has showed investigators key evidence.

This will form the basis of the charge expected to be laid against him later today. It is not clear at this point whether investigators have ascertained a motive for the fatal stabbing of the MP.

This is a major development within days of the MP’s murder, which sent shockwaves across the nation. Michael, who was an independent legislator, was found in a pool of blood in his Dry Hill home on Tuesday.

  1. Awesome work by the police and others who work along the investigation. However what about James and Bridge. Are we gonna find their killers as well? The government worked so fast, the officers worked so hard that in less than a week Asot killer was found and ready to be charge. 2 months for Achazia and How long for Yenifer. I guess lives only matters based on who you are.
