The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission on Friday made a special donation to Breast Friends as part of its yearly Breast Cancer Awareness initiative, in the month of October.
President of Breast Friends, Mrs. Eunetta Bird, expressed her profound gratitude for the gesture.
She further encouraged the staff to continue to familiarize themselves with potential symptoms of the disease, be supportive of those diagnosed with the disease and to make health a priority through regular check ups.
Supervisor of Elections, Mr. Ian. S. Hughes, explained that the majority of the Commission’s staff is female and emphasis is placed on health and holistic healthy practices.
He added that team members readily supported the initiative and opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
