Over the weekend, the Public Works Department took decisive action to address these safety issues by properly securing the culverts with grills, greatly enhancing pedestrian safety and easing the worries of those who use the sidewalks.

  3. Kudos if properly done with steel grates because disabled persons have had quite a difficult time navigating the sidewalks and even the streets of St. Johns. Temporary fixes or improper attempts are just a waste of time and energy.
