Prime Minister Gaston Browne has called for an increase in economic and commercial relations between CARICOM and the Republic of India

He was speaking during the 2nd CARICOM-India Summit took place on Wednesday

During his remarks at the summit, Prime Minister Browne referred to India’s long-standing relation with the Region and expressed his sincere gratitude for the bonds of friendship that existed to the Honourable Shri Narendra Modi’s, Prime Minister of the Republic of India.

Prime Minister Browne further thanked India for its tremendous act of goodwill in the provision of vaccines during the  COVID-19 pandemic.

The Antiguan and Barbudan leader praised Prime Minister Modi for his leadership in transforming the Indian economy, which is poised to become the third largest in the World by 2030.
