Regional carrier LIAT 20 is set to enhance its offerings by expanding its flight services to the picturesque British Virgin Islands, strategically timed just ahead of the bustling Christmas season.
According to officials from LIAT, this exciting new service will commence from Beef Island on November 29, featuring an enticing inaugural one-way fare of just US$99.
Elena Dyer, the Head of Commercial and Corporate Sales for LIAT 2020, expressed the airline’s enthusiasm: “We are connecting you back to the rest of the Caribbean. We are very excited at LIAT 2020.”
This promotion, which offers the remarkably low fare of $99—plus applicable taxes—will be available for travel between November 29 and December 12, but only for a limited number of passengers, as only 48 seats will be allocated for this special offer. After December 12, the airline will switch back to its standard fare structure.
Rooted in Antigua and Barbuda, LIAT 2020 aims to redefine air travel in the region by providing services that are not only reliable and affordable but also conveniently accessible.
Dyer emphasized the airline’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, noting, “What we are striving to do is ensure that we connect the north to the south and back up.” Recognizing that regional travel can be somewhat cumbersome, she stressed the importance of facilitating easier connections across the Caribbean.
In a bid to improve passenger experience, the airline is proactively engaging with key stakeholders, including travel agents, to confront challenges regarding flight reliability and seamless same-day connections.
Roberts, a representative for LIAT, underscored the paramount importance of these factors for travelers, stating, “Reliability, that’s number one. We want a reliable carrier, [with] same-day connection.”
Looking to the future, LIAT 20 has ambitious plans to broaden its network, targeting additional destinations such as Santo Domingo, Guyana, and Grenada.
These efforts are part of a strategic approach to address the hurdles of regional travel, making it not only more accessible but also enjoyable for travelers throughout the Caribbean.
