Bypass construction on Sir Sydney Walling Highway

The Project Implementation Management Unit within the Ministry of Works wishes to advise the public that the bypass being constructed between Pares Village and Collins Junction on Sir Sydney Walling Highway (SSWH) will come into full effect by the end of this week.

This is to facilitate the demolition of the existing culvert for the construction of a new one.

The public is reminded that vehicular traffic will be diverted adjacent to the existing culvert, and diversion signs and flag persons will be employed. All road users are encouraged to follow directions to ensure safety.

Please be advised of ongoing operations of heavy-duty equipment by Antigua Public Utilities Authority and C O Williams in the vicinity of the diversion.

The road work is a part of the Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project being carried out by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

Telephone queries can be made by calling the C O Williams Project office at 562-9573.
