VC Bird International Airport

In a bold move to enhance its tourism infrastructure, the government has announced a significant investment plan for 2025, which includes a $165 million upgrade for the V.C. Bird International Airport.

This multifaceted initiative aims to solidify the island’s reputation as a premier global tourism destination while fostering a knowledge-based society.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne said the refurbishment of V.C. Bird International Airport will modernize the existing facilities and enhance visitors’ travel experience.

Additionally, Barbuda’s airport runway will be extended, and a new terminal will be constructed, ensuring that both islands can accommodate the increasing flow of tourists.
