In a significant development in the case of three missing Barbudan fishermen, the search has pivoted with the recent discovery of their sunken vessel, named Give Thanks.

Online newspaper Island Press Box reported this morning that the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) Coast Guard confirmed the location of the 23-foot Pirogue, which was found approximately four miles west of Cedar Tree Point, resting around 50 feet below the surface.

The fishing boat was last seen carrying fishermen Shalico Charles, Vere Isaac, and Cleon Joseph during a routine outing on December 1.

At the time of their disappearance, the fishermen faced challenging conditions, with rough seas and high winds presenting obstacles that hampered earlier search efforts.

The newly discovered vessel, which was located by a team of local Barbudan divers, was found with empty fishing pots on board, intensifying the mystery of their whereabouts.

Despite the vessel having been located, the search for the missing fishermen continues, as there has been no trace of them thus far.

The coast guard remains at the forefront of the ongoing operations, tirelessly working to bring closure to the families and community affected by this troubling incident.

It is the first time I am reading this. Maybe I was under a rock. If it’s the first for me then it’s fresh like bread from an oven. Thanks for the information.

    Mr. Editor,

I hate to be the BEARER of THIS!!!!

….My heart is Numb and My eyes are Filling up as my thoughts continue to RACE …. And I Begin to wonder about the HEIGHT of THESE 3 Fishermen … as Well As THOSE other Fishermen who have also gone MISSING Recently…..

Has Anyone Paid Any Attention to a Common Factor Existing Among the 3 RECENT Individuals Who Have for want of A Better Word — DISAPPEARED?

……. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT 6 Feet Tall …. 1 Female and 2 Males ……

I am PRAYING that THIS factor of The HEIGHT of the Last 3 Persons Who Have Disappeared is Inconsequential…… However, I can’t SHAKE THE POSSIBLE IMPLICATIONS …….. Our Police SERVICE (Not FORCE) NEEDS OUTSIDE HELP NOW ….. PLEASE MR. Attorney General AND. MR. Prime Minister ….. PLEASE MOVE NOW!!!!!
    Thank You….
