The Potters community celebrated the groundbreaking of the Potters Sports Field restoration this week.

This transformative project aims to enhance community sports, education, and wellness in Antigua and Barbuda.

The upgraded sports facility will benefit local schools and include refurbished basketball, netball, and volleyball courts, a cricket and football field with a pavilion, a new baseball diamond, a children’s play area, a walking track, and various amenities.

Minister Daryll Matthew emphasized the Government’s commitment to youth development and community building, stating the project would create a hub of opportunity.

The Harrison Foundation, led by Sir David Harrison, is the largest donor, highlighting the project’s role in fostering social cohesion and wellness. Other notable supporters include His Excellency Sir Aziz Hadeed and High Commissioner Karen-Mae Hill.

The ceremony featured performances by Potters Primary students and local musicians, with leaders from sports clubs offering their support.

Overall, the restoration of the sports field is set to boost community morale, health, and local enterprise.

Great moved, no doubt under the influence of the MP. Keep pressing for a project time line and fallback/what if plan.
