BREAKING: Bedroom Doors Destroyed by Disgruntled Boys Training School Residents
The Denise Bowers Rehabilitation Center, formerly the Boys Training School, has implemented a new policy requiring the seven teenage boys housed at the facility to be in bed by 8 PM, Antigua.news has learnt
According to sources who spoke to Antigua.news exclusively, this decision has sparked unrest among the residents, who previously enjoyed a lights-out time of 10 PM.
Upon learning of the reduced bedtime, the source told Antigua.news that the boys reacted with frustration, leading to an incident where they kicked down the bedroom doors in protest.
This outburst raised concerns among the staff, prompting officials to consider reporting the situation to local authorities for further action.
The bedtime curfew change is intended to promote discipline and structure within the facility. However, it has met with significant backlash from the boys, highlighting the challenges faced by the rehabilitation center in balancing rules with the well-being of its residents.
Antigua.news will continue to follow that story.
