Prime Minister Gaston Browne sends special commendation to the nation’s law enforcement and security personnel for their role in ensuring a safe and orderly J’Ouvert

Commissioner of Police, Everton Jeffers, and Brigadier Benjamin of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) were applauded for their leadership and coordination throughout the event.

“There was visible presence of police and defence force officers in protection of revelers during Jouvert and generally for the whole carnival season.” Browne wrote in a Facebook post.

Their efforts not only safeguarded revellers but also maintained a sense of order and calm during one of the most vibrant and high-energy periods on the nation’s calendar.
