The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission (ABFC) wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a part in the success of Antigua Carnival 2025. This year’s celebration was nothing short of spectacular, embodying the vibrant essence of our culture, creativity, and Caribbean spirit under the captivating theme “It’s A Vibe!”
This year’s carnival attracted thousands of patrons from around the globe, as we offered a diverse range of events including international concerts, lively fetes, Calypso and Soca performances, Panorama, and the breathtaking Pageantry of our J’ouvert and Parade Mas Days. Antigua Carnival 2025 truly provided unforgettable experiences throughout the island.
With its growing popularity, Antigua Carnival is now recognized among the top three Carnivals in the Caribbean, highlighting the dedication and hard work of our teams, creatives, and partners over the years. This achievement is a source of national pride.
The ABFC extends sincere thanks to:
Our Patrons and Spectators: Your enthusiasm from the moment Carnival launched on February 19 brought life to our streets and venues, filling them with joy and celebration. Your support was invaluable.
Our Creatives: From masquerade builders to musicians, designers, and performers, your passion and creativity brought the Carnival spirit to life.
Our Sponsors: We thank the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, along with our corporate sponsors, for your ongoing financial support and faith in our Carnival and the ABFC.
Our Media Partners: Your coverage played a vital role in sharing the Carnival VIBE with the world, capturing its unique essence and expanding our reach.
Our Health, Safety, and Security Teams: Thanks to the ABRPF, ABDF, EMS, Mount St. John Medical Centre, Red Cross, CBH, and National Solid Waste for ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all attendees.
Our Subcommittees, Volunteers, Vendors, and Event Staff: Your hard work behind the scenes was essential for every event’s seamless execution.
And most importantly, the People of Antigua and Barbuda: Your pride, resilience, and unyielding creativity are the foundation of our Carnival’s triumph.
The feedback received this year has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding safety, organization, and overall execution. Every detail—from the first planning meeting to the last note played—was handled with care and excellence.
Ambassador Elizabeth Makhoul, Chairperson of the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission, remarked, “Antigua Carnival is now ranked among the top three in the Caribbean, a testament to years of strategic effort, commitment, and belief in our product. To my team at the Commission, the National Festivals Office, and all our collaborators, thank you. We’re witnessing the rewards of our dedication, and this is just the start.”
Daryll S. Matthew, Minister of Creative Industries and Innovation, added, “To everyone who participated in and supported Antigua Carnival 2025, thank you! This will be remembered as one of the most remarkable years in our history, reminding us of the power of culture, our people, and the joy Carnival fosters. It’s an honor to celebrate with you all.”
As we wrap up this unforgettable season, the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission eagerly anticipates an even more exceptional experience for Antigua Carnival 2026.

This years carnival was indeed one if the best. Incident free
The absence of carnival opening was kinda questionable but I guess it worked out for the best and saved some money
Antigua.news what about that racist comment? Well there was racist, derogatory graffiti placed on the carnival stage against the chairperson of carnival. Go check that
Thank you to the Festivals Commission for your tireless efforts! After all the planning and hard work, seeing everyone come together and enjoy themselves was so special. The parades were beautiful, the music was incredible, and the feeling of unity in the streets was something I’ll never forget. This year’s Carnival felt like a true celebration of who we are as a people.
Can’t wait for next year!
It’s was indeed a vibe and a success! I hope we keep this up all into next year
