Ge’Eve was victorious at the Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch competition
Ge’eve, a 19-year-old artist representing Antigua & Barbuda, has secured the Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch title following Saturday’s competition held in Anguilla.
The teenager delivered winning performances of two compositions – ‘One Man’ and ‘Daughter Come’ – both produced by Andrew ‘Smilus’ Dorsett of Smilus Global Media.
The weekend event brought together premier calypso talent from across the Leeward Islands region in what proved to be an intensely competitive showcase.
Host nation Anguilla’s Queen Roxxy secured the first runner-up position, while Drewzy from St. Kitts earned second runner-up honors in the regional contest.
The victory represents a particularly notable accomplishment for Ge’eve, who already holds the distinction of being Antigua and Barbuda’s reigning Calypso Monarch. The regional win adds to the young artist’s growing collection of calypso titles.

This proves that she was given this true talent from the Almighty God and it also proves that Persistence beats Resistance.
